John Updike mentions Design Research in some of his 60's novels, "Couples" is great, one of my favourutes, do you have any pictures?

Any more information on DR?
So I can gather Design Research were a store selling all things modern, did they have their own design team as well as resell?
I bought this chair attributed to them, and would like to find out more about it if possible, hoping someone here can help.

D/R Missed
Ben Thompson founded D/R and designed its signature headquarters building in Harvard Square. I used to walk by it on a daily basis in the early 1970s, filled with great goodies and Marimekko fabric hangings. The annual warehouse sales were wonderful, and much of my intro to design.
