I am looking at purchasing a couple of these chairs as have juut moved into a new house which would show then off to their best. I am torn between buying a genuine chair from Zon or purchasing a copy for a lot less. Has anyone got any knowledge of good copies that are around and if so how would they rate them? Grown up with the Egg Chair etc etc so am aware of if you buy quality it generally lasts as parents chair is older than me still going strong after only 1 recover in 30+ years so please know bashing about always buy originals. Thanks for help in advance

Have none of you got any views. I have done some research. Am aware I can get the original from Zon. I have also seen that Thisisfurniture, Classic furniture 4U and mojointerios offer the chair but am awaiting them to come into their shops/warehouse before purchasing. I would really appreciate anyone elses view on this

The owner is Martin Barnett - the people behind Ocean. If you havent already heard about Ocean then the advice is just to stay away! All the info on this site about Ocean has been removed (I think they just scare people with legal letters to remove the damaging comments) but other sites like blagger.com still have the history.

to every story there is the long version, so im not gone bash about the long version.
so my story goes,....
im quite new to this addiction of collecting furniture or items that i like, not because somebody told or i read, just because i like them.
for me the best hour of looking at this, is in dawn when everything is quiet, my girlfriend is not up yet.
i have time for the cafe au lait and this amaizing moment of silence. and at that moment i know this " the beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.
buy what ever you like as long as you are the beholder............
