Hello
I would very much appreciate any information on the Johannes Andersen ,and possibly his works.Also; I would like to know the relative raretity of his furniture.I recently aquired a sofa designed by him ( same as the one in the May 24 2005 Phillips de Pury catalog except in upholstery),and really want to know more about it.Thank-you in advance.

Johannes Andersen is quite a mystery. I can't find any info on him in my books. Though you could go to www.furnitureindex.dk and search for his work. Esp. his coffee table for CFC Silkeborg is very popular here in Denmark and usually cost around $500. He has made some nice chairs too. But otherwise his furniture are not costly at all.

Hej,
Johannes andersen was closely associated with ULDUM møbel fabrik and designed several items for them. Mostly dining room sets.
Have a look at furniture index and search for uldum as the maker.

I have a Johannes Andersen coffee table. It is sometimes referred to as the 'smile table'. He designed it for Silkeborg. It belonged to my grandmother, and I recieved it after her death. I posted a link below to the model of the table that I have.
I've tried to find info on Johannes Andersen before but have never really found much. I have a book of designers, and he is mentioned in there. However, they don't really say much about him *shrug*
