Good Evening,
I am considering purchasing this lamp from a seller, but there is confusion over who produced the lamp.
The Seller originally believed it was made by Arteluce, however since I initiated contact there has been doubt cast over this. I myself looked as much as I could and there is a floor lamp by Robert Sonneman called a "Directional" lamp which seems to use similar components to this lamp.
Has anyone seen this lamp before and know who produced it? It stands 20" tall approximately.
While I love it anyway, the purchase price will greatly effect whether or not I purchase it based on who designed & produced it.
Yours,
Buck Rogers
Italian?
According to this link, it's Italian. I have my doubts.

I agree
I concur with your thoughts that it is misattributed to an Italian designer also. I spent further hours this weekend looking for a possible match and I have found not only the pivot that the lamp uses employed upon an attributed "directional" lamp by Robert Sonneman, but have also found the sphere size used with the "rim" lining on the sphere used on smaller Sonneman wall spot lighting spheres that sit upon round metal blocks.
I am fairly comfortable with a 80% certainty it is Robert Sonneman. I will keep the thread alive though as there is someone out there who knows for certain.
I am going to share my thoughts with the seller and see what they think, and how this should reflect in their pricing so I can obtain it.
If it is a Sonneman, and given it would seem an uncommon one, would you have an indicative price range which would estimate a fair and reasonable offer to him?
