I finished restoring pair of Børge Mogensen's model 3238, the 'Hunting Carver's Chair.' And so I finally have enough of Børge's pieces to assemble a complete room in his Danish Modern Rustic.

Some detail shots the chairs made by Fredericia Stolefabrik in the mid 1960s, although the design was first made by Erhard Rasmussen for the 1951 cabinetmaker's exhibition.
The chairs have a soap finish (a lovely finish for oak, too rarely seen), and the patina on the oxhide is spectacular.

Coffee table was made by Søborg in 1961.

The cabinet is part of the Øresund series design for Karl Andersson & Sønner in Sweden. The "legs" are not legs at all, but rather just blocks that the cabinet can sit upon.

Very nice. This photo would fit in quite well somewhere in the room.

A lovely curated space. I particularly like the coffee table.

These are all pretty rare pieces. And even more so considering the out of the way place where I live. So I feel very lucky to have found them.

Here is a photo of the chairs from the 1951 Snedkerlaugets Udstilling:

And this is the photo that inspired the arrangement:

The coffee table is the same. Or almost. The one in the show photo is the higher, european standard height coffee table, while mine is the 17 inch tall American standard height coffee table. Søborg offered both heights for a period in the late 1950s to early 1960s.
