Hiya, gang.

My late friend had two amazing lamps that I have not seen since his death.

He had two table lamps...both made of high quality wrought iron.

The first was a lamp that was approx 8" square and about 17 or 18" high. The wrought iron was a open frame with an approx 8' square on top. There was a wrought iron rod straight up the center and there was a beautiful wood ball in the middle of the rod.

John also had another lamp, slightly smaller that was a continuous wrought iron rod circling from the bottom to the top creating a spring that the circumferance got smaller towards to top.

I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of these lamps, but it's amazing that since he disposed of them way back in the early 1990's, before his illness, I've never seen another lamp light them.

They were expertly made, and I recall that John said that they were California.

Does either of these lamps strike a bell with anyone? Sorry, I don't have a photograph to share.

I was hoping that
this description would ring a bell, especially with any MCM fans who know California 1950's furniture.
