Any Idea on fixing this eames aluminium chair?  

Well if you're studying Architecture you sometimes find things like this in old storage rooms of you university... 🙂

Sadly the Base poked right through the seat, and it really doesn't look right... this version is a really old one, so i cant find any pictures on the internet how it should look like..

As you can see there are two nuts which seem to hold the middle black part. I can screw of the top one, but cant screw it down more.. I was thinking on moving the bottom one upwards und sqeezing the black middle thing between them (I'll need a pipe tong to do so..)

Good Idea? Anyone know a better one ?
