I got this coffee table from a local thrift store. It is extremely heavy, at least a good 150 pounds and seems to be solidly constructed. I assume there should be a glass top to this which, however, was missing when I bought it. It has nicks and scratches but I honestly cannot tell if this is vintage at all or something newly made. Has anyone seen anything like this?

From a design standpoint, it checks most of the boxes.

What decade was it produced? It looks to boarder on straight-up modern. It is a table, is it supposed to have glass on top?

It looks pretty impressive, how it is made from solid walnut.

In any case, MCM is such an arbitrary term, I dont even know why anyone uses it anymore?

It looks to me more like a one-off custom piece. The construction of the drawer sides, and hardware should give an idea of how old it is. Feel free to post photos, and somebody here will say something.
