The name is just Getama. Gedsted is the location. Model 530. Getama was a seaweed mattress company; check the cushions for ocean life.

Does the fabric have a faint taste of nori?

I,m not sure. There is a Ryghynde label on the cushion.

Well I'll be. I was just making noise, but there is something interesting about the cushions.

So that is the backrest one? Is it different than the seat cushion in some non-obvious way? Like are springs vs foam or something?

Hmm! Ryghynde is just Danish for cushion---kind of odd to label the obvious, but also an odd choice for a brand name! Looks like very nice fabric, though.

The Ryghynde label is on the back cushion of this GE-265. The seat cushion has no label. I guess they did this to clarify which cushion is the back cushion? The chair was bought by my parents and I have no doubt that both cushions are 100% original.

Ah, that makes sense. In researching the term, I found one definition that included the word "bolster" which is a back cushion specifically. And the back and seat cushions on some chairs are the same width and height (or depth) but with different innards according to their functions. I've never seen any that were labeled as to where they go but that's a great idea.

Ryg = Back

Hynde = Cushion

So its the Backcushion!

Very nice touch to mark them up like that.
