I had been thinking about it for a while now, welding a flat steel skeleton frame tucked into the inside faces of the rosewood plywood shells and cushions that no one will ever know and see that it is there to stop my old 5 ply Eames 670 lounge chair from failing ever again, like adding more steel supports to FLWright Fallingwater during the restoration. Probably too extreme/sacriligious to purists?
