I've just purchased a segemented base, and am wondering how to verify its Herman Miller origins. No labels I can see, nor embossing on the cast aluminium parts, apart from a series of small rings with numbers (designating manufacturing date?) on the underside of the aluminium 'feet'.Would there be any Herman Miller specific markings on the base? I expect if it had a top, there might be smething on this. Thanks for your help.Xav

Hi Xav-
No answers unfortunately from me only more questions. I'm the same as you....I have acquired exactly the same table with the exact markings in the inside of the aluminium leg/base.
I have searched the Internet and haven't had any leads. Thinking I might go and track down a herman miller or vitra table this week and turn it upside down.
Hope to get some answers for us both
Leigh

I believe "missing the forest for the trees" is the idiom that applies here...
Try backing up a bit!

Hi Leigh - sounds good! Mine certainly looks right (backing out of the forest a bit!) from a distance
Hope the furniture flipping is fruitful..
