| This may be a tad difficult | 2 Relevance | 12 years ago | jessicaalderson7614 | General discussion | |
| This may be a tad difficult to find out, but if you do manage to find stores that import their furniture from countries that provide good quality furniture, you are likely to get it at a cheaper rate than other stores. Although Canadian made furniture can boast of good quality wood, if budget is what you choose to compromise on, then it wouldn’t hurt to find a local sofa store in Edmonton. | |||||
| I'm finding it difficult | 2 Relevance | 12 years ago | SDR | General discussion | |
| I'm finding it difficult to imagine how this piece is to be installed and used. Is it shown upside down ? Is there a socket and lamp in both parts shown -- the metal shade and the yellow globe ? Surely the metal shade isn't meant to rest agains the tube as it does in the photo . . . ! | |||||

| I had a difficult time... I had a difficult time finding these two books here in the US. I pre-ordered through Amazon.com months ago, but they kept sending emails asking if I wanted to cancel, since they could not acquire any. In the end, getting them from England via Ebay did not cost much more. You do have to pay attention to what language they are printed in, if ordering from Ebay. | |||||

| I'm not sure how difficult this is to do, but I think the site would be more functional if the header scrolled up and disappeared as you scrolled down. It just takes up so much real estate. And if you Command+ to be able to read the type more easily, the header just gets bigger and bigger and then you end up scrolling the bottom few inches of your screen. Or maybe the header could just be condensed. It just seems like a lot of space is being taken by content that isn't really that useful (or at least isn't frequently used)...just my two cents here! | I would guess it looks like beech (size is a bit difficult) beech is very easily lacquered as it can be sanded down to a very smooth surface (in my experience anyway). as you've begun the stripping (I am assuming you won't 'stripe' the legs) I suppose you have complete it now until the end... otherwise it will indeed look funny 🙂 | |||||

| Wood is always difficult to... Wood is always difficult to tell in photos, but it looks to have had some finish work done to it. My guess would be originally stained beech, but then re-stained with a darker walnut stain and then top-coated with a poly. Or the flash may be playing tricks on my eyes in terms of shininess of the finish. Most of the Z examples shown above are stained beech, with the exception of spanky's Z ensemble photo which is teak with lighter wood backrest slats. I've read claims that this wood is maple, but that doesn't make much sense to ... | |||||

| Difficult It will be hard to find vintage replacement wooden legs. Getting a set of chairs with wooden legs may be your best option, but these chairs are typically significantly more expensive than the ones with metal legs. Edit: You could also probably purchase new legs from Knoll. | |||||

| It's difficult to see further than one's own time. Man has always a feeling of being at an end. And what now? I believe the work of Maarten Van Severen will become even more iconic and keep it's value as 'vintage' pieces. His quality speaks through his designs, not so much out of his personality or image (like a Rachid or Starck). | |||||

| That's a very difficult question to answer It's like asking which book to buy. I would look around places like auctions, eBay, Craigslist, flea markets etc. until you find something you fall in love with. Looking for specific items by specific designers can often mean that you miss out on the real treasures Happy hunting | |||||
