They seem to be trying hard to provide convenience but in the end narrow your options, and what if you have more than six spices, and amounts that won't fit in the barrell? I'm sure weve all had spice bottles where you end up with half used packets at the back of the pantry. This object, which looks nice but interrupts the normal use of language/behaviour at the dinner table is interesting.

As the hours went on I became more and more convinced maybe it isn't a replica. The girl said it was older then 20 years, but wasn't sure, and I found a label on the underside that said it was property if BIC, yes Bic like lighter/pen company. They have a large lobby and have a bunch of nice furnishings there in the entrance (mostly modern) so this makes sense. The leather pad is defiantly real leather and all of the button straps have the wo ...

| Sweat contains | 1 Relevance | 18 years ago | barrympls | General discussion | |
| Sweat contains salts and proteins from the body - in small amounts - and they do a number on dyed fabric. I suggest using a fabric cleaner that advertises to be good for removing pet stains. Now, as regards your own issue, from one friend to another, it might be something lacking in your diet that's causing this to be a problem...ask your doctor. In the meantime, Mitchum is suppose to be good for high perspiration issues. Hope this helps. | |||||

All the good work that patrons and governments and designers and academics have put into the industry is being diluted. | Philippe Starck: Design is Dead | 1 Relevance | 15 years ago | Wen Xing | General discussion
| In a recent interview with German die Zeit Magazine, Mr. Starck proclaims the "death of design". No longer satisfied with his life's work and feeling that everything he ever designed was "unnecessary". UPDATE: Some of the quotes used in the German Weekly. "I was a producer of materiality and I am ashamed of this fact", "Everything I designed was unnecessary". "I will definitely give up in two years" time. I want to do something else, but I don't know what yet. I want to find a new way of expressing myself "design is a dreadful form of expression". "In future ... | |||||

Now, this effect may be due to the fact that most women just wear the wrong size bra that is too tight somewhere. No one has done any studies investigating how well the bra fits and a possible link to breast cancer. Either way, for your breast health it is better to avoid wearing bras whenever possible, and on those occasions when you do need one, ge ...
| Sacrilege time....Wire legs on Eames chairs are too busy... | 1 Relevance | 18 years ago | dcwilson | General discussion | |
| I've resisted making this post for quite some time, because I went on a brick bat diet. But... Aren't the wire legs and struts too busy and incongruous aesthetically on this very admired chair by the Eames? Yes, there is some symmetry and elegance of design in these legs and struts, if you decide to make legs this way in the first place. But what a strange, unnecessarily complicated way to build legs under this very simple chair! Would anyone care to explain why the Eames decided to go with such an extraordinarily complicated solution to providing a chair wi ... | |||||

I've always suspected the following. * The older chair is slightly larger. * Shock mounts can last forever if you stay on a diet. * Billy Wilder was not handsome, and became rather short and thick in his later years. Smoker. * Fashionable Arlene Francis is still dead. Wonder if she smoked? * The Donald has odd grooming habits...or none at all. * I wore a fabulous pink linen jacket to a luncheon today...and a straw hat. * Eameshead is my f ...

| Oak? You may well be right, but the Oda book "Danish Chairs" only lists Teak. Are they curretly offered in oak, or have they always been? I've never seen a vintage example in oak.
