| RE: Kai Kristiansen nesting tables? | 1 Relevance | 6 years ago | maxpato | Identification | |
| Hi design addicts/Danish Modern lovers What a lesson we learnt ! To be honest, I didnt even need proof the Tables or furniture were designed by K Kristiansen, I could tell just by seeing and touching the quality made by VM or FM... I had my first KK shelves in 1990, superbly made by FM. How lucky we are at having the oportunity to see those Danish furniture catalogues downloaded by a pure Danish cabinet maker! I was so glad and grateful to Mr Jorgensen as those catalogues are pure gold. Wheres Mr Secrettruth apology? I got two sets of cube coffee tables de ... | |||||

| Yes, it s a huge disappointment when you've hunted down a certain item (sometimes for years) and then it lets you completely down 😭 One of the last finds, which didnt disappoint was this full blooded Venini chandelier, by Gio Ponti. Its an early one and was chosen by the family which I bought it from in the Murano workshop itself, somewhere in the fifties. Attachment: IMG-20231110-WA0002.jpg | |||||

Managed to find a gold FF logo under the black paint, so I know for sure this particular chair didnt come black. Certainly starting to look way better! Attachment: Spade-4.jpg | |||||

| Butterfly Hi there... In terms of just sitting and comfort, rather than Alvar / Eero / Arne / Joe / Joe and Joe, I personally recommend a Butterfly chair...I forgot who did it but I think it was the Italians, mid-fifties, who also did the inflatable stuff late sixties? Dunno. You'll recognise it - a bit populist I know, and collapses like an inverted ubrella, four sort of wings, kind of sling like. Anyway, I think they're a great slumming-around chair - the two upper wings can be headrests if you swing your legs around, and I've even known someone to sleep ... | |||||

| I think that the most famous ... I think that the most famous such instance was Kenneth Walton's Ebay auction for the forged Richard diebenkorn painting 10 years ago (see link to old news story). The only thing that got him in trouble was that he and friends shill bid to drive up the initial price, to attract attention to the painting. He acted as a naive seller, and he did not make any claims about the work he auctioned. It was the shilling that got the FBI involved. http://partners.nytimes.com/library/tech/00/05/biztech/articles/09ebay.html | |||||

| In Wisconsin I used the connect the arrows method. FYI diebold, the eletronic voting machine company had promised Ohio to Bush in '04 and I think I remember it's president quoted that he would do anything in his power for republican wins. The elctronic machines are owned by strongly republican partisans in general. Whatever your political preference, the partisan control of these machines threaten any sort of democracy we have left. | |||||
