| RE: I have this very long, Soborg stamped, coffee table. Anyone know the Designer ? Thks | 1 Relevance | 1 year ago | Herringbone | Identification | |
| @chris-danish Hey Chris, I didn’t bother to look it up, but the bench bears some design elements typical for Kai Lyngfeld-Larsen who designed a series for Søborg. Definitely him. | |||||
| RE: Does anybody knows about the Designer of this rosewood Danish Table ? | 1 Relevance | 1 year ago | Herringbone | Identification | |
| ... (without guarantee). There’s a lengthy article in one issue of Mobilia about Poul Cadovius and his castle, where he combined exhibitions of new furniture from France & Son and Royal System. The article is from 1968, it came with many pictures, but I didn’t find the table mentioned there. I’ve also looked at one or two articles from the 1970s. By that time, the furniture France & Son was producing was almost exclusively made of metal and plastic. When wood was used, it was often oak. In terms of design as well, the table no longer really fits into t ... | |||||
| RE: Hi, Does anyboby knows about the Designer of this "Branderup Mobelfabrik" stamped rosewood secretary ? Thank you. | 1 Relevance | 1 year ago | Herringbone | Identification | |
| @chris-danish Hi Chris, your secretary desk was, in all likelihood, designed by Arne Wahl Iversen. It’s confirmed that Iversen designed for Brenderup. While I don’t have direct proof that he designed this particular secretary, the piece strongly bears his signature style — it closely resembles one he designed for Vinde Møbelfabrik. I also asked his son, and he believes the piece most likely comes from his father as well. He couldn’t say for certain, as he doesn’t have quick access to his father’s design archives, but he also recognizes the similarity. And it ... | |||||

| Just poked around a bit. One | 1 Relevance | 9 years ago | Spanky | General discussion | |
| Just poked around a bit. One exactly like yours sold for $199 on eBay 2+ years ago. I regularly see the common versions selling for $50-60 each on eBay, less if in worn condition. I've gotten a couple for less than $20 each because the seller didnt know what they were---one was listed as a Buckingham Palace guard! If I were you I would either keep them and enjoy them as is, or resell for a nice profit and invest in a troop of the regular ones. Or hold out for one of the rarer older versions. Or start a savings account for a Bojesen sailor or policeman. | |||||

| Thanks for your comment! If you look closely, you can see that under the shelves there is a dark layer. I will take another picture in a few hours. I tried wax and colored wax with steel wool but that didnt work. So I guess I will have to take off all the wax and use oil then? And should I use danish oil or teak oil? There is no product here called both. | |||||

| I am picking up a second Eames style lounge chair this weekend. The other one I bought didnt have the quality I was looking for. This one looks very close to the original HM. Seller says he doesnt know who made the chair. Is this from China? or a Selig or Plycraft...? I am about to cough up $500 for it on top of the $250 I paid for my other replica chair. Cheers! | |||||

| Eames DCM labeling? | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | MidCenturyMetropolis | General discussion | |
| Greetings. I searched through the forums and didnt find this exact question or answer so Id like to pose it here. I came across a local to me set of 8 used chairs being offered as Eames LCM chairs. I immediately realized they were not LCM but rather DCM chairs. The issue is that none of the chairs have any semblance of having or ever having a label or marking on the bottom. The chairs are coming from a business that had them in a conference room, not an antiques dealer or reseller. They are original and have never been refinished. The representative was "tol ... | |||||
