Hi Chris,
your secretary desk was, in all likelihood, designed by Arne Wahl Iversen. It’s confirmed that Iversen designed for Brenderup. While I don’t have direct proof that he designed this particular secretary, the piece strongly bears his signature style — it closely resembles one he designed for Vinde Møbelfabrik.
I also asked his son, and he believes the piece most likely comes from his father as well. He couldn’t say for certain, as he doesn’t have quick access to his father’s design archives, but he also recognizes the similarity.
And it would make sense: Brenderup was a very small furniture manufacturer, which probably didn’t have contracts with multiple designers. Many companies worked with just a single furniture architect who designed their entire range.
