| Dining Table IDs | 2 Relevance | 19 years ago | Cloudburst2000 | General discussion | |
| I'm helping the woman who owns the local mid-century modern shop ID some of her furniture. I'm basically doing web research for her, and other internet functions...and I get a good deal on her furniture. Anyhoo, she has two dining tables that we're curious if anyone has any information on. The first is an extremely well-made glass and steel table. The table actually separates in the center and has another glass leaf that can be added to extend the dining table. It's the only glass table I've ever seen that can be extended. All the steel edges are perfec ... | |||||

| For the record, I didn't understand Leif's firewood comment either, but now I get it. Context is everything. ConnyE's location isn't visible when you click on his user name, but he said something in the past about "we in Sweden and Denmark" so your post should be very helpful, DrPoulet. Thanks for taking the time to be so thorough. | |||||
| Graves Dish Drainer Tray a winner... | 2 Relevance | 19 years ago | dcwilson | General discussion | |
| I know Michael Graves takes some grief here, and occassionally deservedly so, but he has now designed a second thing that I would not live with out. Note: the first is my artillery shell shaped pepper mill with the peanut on top. The lastest is the dish drainer tray he makes to do with a dish drainer rack. The rack is just so-so. But the drainer tray is wonderful, because it is sufficiently elevated, and sufficiently inclined, to allow the water to actually drain to the corner nearest the sink AND GET THIS exit out a hole with an articulated spout that chann ... | |||||

| Thanks tktoo, I didn't notice that it's against the rules to ask for a valuation. So I read the rules a liittle more and found this: " You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use Design Addict to post any message which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate" etc. So leif and Zephyr, you haven't heard of the Mogensen Spanish chair? | |||||

| Great info! didn't know that about the bottom opening. And i agree with you on this one being at least as attractive than the Holmegaard one. It was about as expensive as a real Holmegaard too, by the way. | |||||

| Thanks to all. (I didn't get a notice for Eameshead's post. Something's wrong. Of course, the multiple notices, one for each new post since one's last visit, was overkill. Maybe this is payback ?) The "Notify me when new comments are posted" button is still checked, as per usual . . . | |||||

| I didn't see any mention of the wood type of the mastodon (or mammoth--I can't remember the difference). All I can find online is a photo from an old ebay listing, circulating on Pinterest. | |||||

| Oh no, I hope you didn't take my comment the wrong way. I really am a bit confused! 🙂 It is so helpful to have found this site. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me! I have a few other pieces I'm not sure about, that I hope to post today. I am so excited about all of the pieces I purchased, but I think I went a bit overboard and bought too much. I may have to sell a few things! | |||||

| I didn't see it mentioned earlier in this thread, so I figured I'd drop this link here: http://fortune.com/2015/09/09/1stdibs-funding/ Right about the time this thread was originally active, 1stdibs raised another round of equity, which effectively bought out the founder. There were already some a-list VC firms invested, along with Alibaba, but now the VCs and their CEO are running the show completely. Their CEO, by the way, is David Rosenblatt, whose background is online advertising. He ran DoubleClick and sold it to Google. He was brought in Benchmark, on ... | |||||
