| This isn't Paul McCobb, is it? | 1 Relevance | 12 years ago | keewee | Identification | |
| Are these Paul McCobb? Was really sure these were designed by Warren Church.Sad to see some Lane tables that can be had on CL any day of the week, for sale on 1st dibs, misattributed and overpriced. But maybe I've got something to learn. https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/tables/night-stands/pair-of-paul-mccobb-lane-nightstands/id-f_1362912/ | |||||
| Paul McCobb Sofa? | 1 Relevance | 10 years ago | Flux Modern Drew | Identification | |
| I picked up this 2 piece sectional sofa. It came from a home with several Paul McCobb Planner Group pieces, and the owner thought the sofa was the same designer. I found one similar looking piece on first dibs, attributed to Paul McCobb directional? Haven't been able to find any other reference. Any help is appreciated! | |||||
| Driving me Nuts. Mesh Mid Century Patio Lounger / Rocker Help!!!!! | 1 Relevance | 10 years ago | Platform9 | Identification | |
| Ok. This one is proving a little tricky. Just picked up this black mesh lounger rocker thing. When you sit on it it rolls back until you are horizontal. I've seen the chair version long ago with the same type of metal mesh but never the rocker. Can ANYONE help to ID the designer? Pretty sure it's not Woodard or Salterini. Image searches on Google - 1st dibs - Chairish have all come up blank. Thanks for any info or suggestions, | |||||
| any one know a little or lot about percival lafer? | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | LCA | Identification | |
| ... I thought it was 'in the style of' but there are a lot of interesting and persnickety details that I have found on other lafer pieces. The tufting pattern is unique and a little more complex than you would expect on a repo...the tufting is done with little loops of leather functioning like a button ...again more of a sign of quality in detailing than a repo would have. This listing https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/seating/sofas/leather-jacaranda-wood-sofa-percival-lafer/id-f_390852/ on 1st dibs shows a very similar tufting pattern as well as the little le ... | |||||
| Craft Associates - Walnut "Stingray" Tables by Adrian Pearsall | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | Zephyr | Identification | |
| So I have a set of Craft Associates, solid walnut "stingray" tables (tops are veneer), and I am wondering if anyone has any additional background on these tables. I have only seen a handful of these tables on the internet over the years, and never all three together. 1st dibs has a set of the end tables on their site right now, and I saw a pair of these sell in Miami a few years back. I have only seen the coffee table here on DA a few years back. I am hoping that someone has the catalog for these tables, and more information on year of manufacture, etc. ... | |||||
| Teak bench ID assistance, please... | 1 Relevance | 12 years ago | Rogue01 | Identification | |
| Howdy, everyone and thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide. I was fortunate enough to happen upon this beautiful Povl dinesen distributed teak long bench at a local thrift. After a fair amount of research, I've been unable to find anything attributing a specific designer to the piece. Is it possible that it was made by Mr. dinesen or is the work likely attributed to someone else? In my searching, I was only able to find one other bench--and that was at 1st dibs. Any help you can provide me is greatly, greatly appreciated. http://www.fl ... | |||||
| Look Mid Century Brazilian designer help. Carlo B. Fongaro | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | NULL NULL | Identification | |
| I recently picked up a set of 6 chairs (4 small 2 large). These chairs have a label that says. diNAMARQUESA PROBJETO CARLO B. FONGARO. I can find the small chair on 1st dibs but I have been unable to find the large chair. I haven't been able to find out much information on Probjeto or the designer Fongaro. I was able to find info that eames and other designers allowed Probjeto to produce their designs just like vitra. If anybody has any info it would be much appreciated. Thanks | |||||
| Beautiful little teak and oak secretary: Vodder? Volther? | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | staceyneil | Identification | |
| I have a lovely secretary desk I'm trying to identify. I was told it was Arne Vodder, but I'm not so sure. I found one listed as by Poul Volther on 1st dibs, but not sure the dealer knows what he's talking about either. The pulls aren't like other Volther pulls I've seen. It's quite beautifully made and early... any ideas? | |||||
| Edward Wormley Dunbar 5407 Party Sofa Question -was there a matching loveseat? | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | rich6705 | Identification | |
| ... accompanied it a few weeks earlier. Sadly, the padding is mostly powderized. The original green fabric has some minor issues, but it's in reasonable enough condition that I'd keep it. Anyway, I'm clearing things out and decided that I need to make a move by either selling it or having it restored, so I did some research today. After studying a couple dozen pics of full-sized Dunbar 5407 party sofas on auction sites and 1st dibs I'm pretty sure that this is an original Ed Wormley Dunbar piece. Except for the length everything looks identical. Even the intern ... | |||||
| France & Son side table, designer confirmation? | 1 Relevance | 11 years ago | DrPoulet | Identification | |
| Hi all, I just bought this small side table from France & Son (marked with a black FF metal cap and FD on the wood). I have seen this table attributed everywhere to Peter Hvidt (1st dibs, ebay,...) but I cannot find any reliable documentation to confirm the attribution. I know that France & Son also had in-house designs... It is not listed in the furniture index... Does anyone have any documentation that could confirm the attribution of this table to Hvidt? Many thanks for your help. | |||||

| Should I buy McCobb desk/chair for $700? | 1 Relevance | 13 years ago | MKmodern | General discussion | |
| I found a McCobb Planner Group desk and chair, both in good condition, for $700. Is that a fair price? The prices on 1st dibs and Ebay are outrageous, but I don't know if that's what the desk is going for? Desk has original label, but chair does not... Thanks for your help! This is my first post! | |||||
