I've noticed a lot of that on 1st dibs. The small eclipse lamp (1972 Lightolier) was attributed twice, two different dealers, to Joe Colombo.
A pair of Kovacks floor lamps, attributed to Sonneman.
Hey, these guys are trying to sell their wares at ridiculous prices, so they need to attribute everything to somebody.

Which lamps?
Sonneman did many designs for kovacs so both could be right depending on the model.

A couple of years ago, I notified one 1stdibs dealer
that their listing for a pair of Tomlinson Sophisticate klismos chairs designed by Michael Taylor was incorrect. Their text read that the chairs were made in Denmark by an unknown manufacturer and designer. Even after I emailed them with the true Tomlinson lineage, they never changed their copy. I failed to see what they would gain from it as the Tomlinson chairs are regularly seen on 1stdibs.
