| Paul McCobb? round marble / travertine & iron cocktail table | 1 Relevance | 5 years ago | smallbatch | Identification | |
| Hi I have this gorgeous coffee table that closely resembles the table Paul McCobb designed for Calvin furniture with the exception of apron design. I found one online photo of same table w/ apron awhile back claiming it to be a McCobb. The dimensions are off as well, my table is 44" diameter, 18 3/4" tall, both wider and taller than McCobb examples I've seen. Any ideas on variation of this design by McCobb or perhaps a different designer, I would love to know. Thanks Attachment: paul-mccobb.jpeg Attachment: paul-closeup.jpeg | |||||

| ... does not have a ground pin (wich means it's not made post 2000). the size is 9cm base diameter and 45cm height. the inside is sand blasted and the entirety has a high quality production so i doubt someone just made it for fun. my theory is that it was a prototype by a company. as a design student i would really like to find who made this and what the story behind it is. thanks for the help. | Late 1960's Tulip Table - help to identify maker | 1 Relevance | 5 years ago | Julio | Identification | |
| Hello, I bought my current house in 2001 and the owners had had it built in 1967. The furniture and decorations were of that time. Some furniture was bought from them at the time of purchase and included a good quality marble topped tulip table. I would love to identify the maker of the table if any knowledgeable forum member can help to identify it. I have included photos to assist identification. Height of table (floor to top of marble): 29 inches (73.5 cms) Diameter of Marble top : 53⅞ inches (137cms) Base/pedestal material: Cast aluminium with marble effect finish Attachment: tulip-table.jpg Attachment: marble-top.jpg Attachment: base-stem.jpg | |||||

| Hi tktoo2 Thanks for the reply! This is chazkid again - For some reason I was locked out of that account I believe I am missing a bushing as well as there was only one in the stem - I think there should be a top and bottom one right? The one that is there is plastic measuring around 35mm outer diameter, and 26mm inner diameter - I don't know if that is the standard size for these bushings? I am thinking about replacing them with bronze bushings however - as I see I can get them easy enough on ebay. | |||||

| Hi all, Can somebody help me to identify this lamp? It's quite big, I would say a 50-60cm diameter, and by the look I would think it's a Scandinavian design. Thanks in advance.Valérie Attachment: d133e972-9651-4997-bfe8-0fc7f1ce6bdd.jpg Attachment: 4a0bcde6-1a06-49f2-a49e-04ba38e56195.jpg | |||||

| RE: Help finding replacement screws for Breuer B34 | 1 Relevance | 3 years ago | tktoo | Repair | |
| @himitsurugi You'll find that most of the socket head screws listed are machine screws with flat ends whereas your original screws look more like wood or sheet metal screws with pointed ends. If you choose slightly longer machine screws of similar diameter and thread spacing, you can cut them to length and grind points onto the ends and those should work for you. Also, you don't want alloys harder than the tubular steel components of your chair. Better to have the screws wear out than the holes becoming overly enlarged over time and use. Best of luck! | |||||

| Looking for France & Son-compatible eeeee springs | 1 Relevance | 5 years ago | Andersen | Repair | |
| If anybody knows of a source for those eeeee springs I would be happy. I see there are around those springs but have not the same diameter and thickness as the original ones. Essentially, there were two kinds back then: those used for Hans Wegner chairs, that have thicker steel and are larger, which were fixed to a wooden frame by hooks. France & Son instead used a different kind, with thinner steel wire, which allowed to nail them directly into the wooden frames. Those with a thicker steel wire can’t be nailed directly to a wooden frame, because the wir ... | |||||

There are also hinges built into the folding mechanism, which are engraved with the “K” logo, which refers to Knoll. Does anyone here know if Knoll ever made the Tulip table as an extendable version? Or are there clues that can be used to identify the logo on the hinges? I am thankful for every hint 🙂 Normally the table has an unusual diameter of 130 cm for Knoll. With t ... | |||||
