Hi @lexi, thank you very much for your help! A dealer on 1st dibs has a listing of the same design just in rosewood, and says it is by Niels Koefoed.
RE: DUX dining set value? | 2 Relevance | 2 years ago | Herringbone | General discussion
@becconner91 Unfortunately this isn’t the place to ask for valuation. We don’t discuss value here for many reasons. One of them is that the value of a piece only depends on how much one or two people are willing to pay for it, and that’s subjective. So maybe try and look for auctioned pieces like yours, there you may get an idea. Don’t take prices at 1st dibs as a guide line. They are way too high.

Yes that looks right, thanks everyone. Here is one from "the dibs" with the same doors and base also attributed to him. Attachment: Screenshot-2024-03-12-at-3.16.05-PM.jpg
ID- Illum Wikkelso plexus dining chairs? | 2 Relevance | 3 years ago | gringojoe | Identification
Hi all, I'm wondering if you can help me identify some absolutely beautiful dining chairs I've bought. 2 with arms, 4 without. The shape reminded me of Illum Wikkelso and I started googling. I found one listing on first dibs, below foraa prototype plexus armchair, that was never put into production. But that is the only image or reference that I've been able to find and of course it always might be wrong. Have any of you seen these before. They clearly are special. I got them together with a John Mortensen table. Thanks for any light you might be able to she ...

I politely told them no dice.... I politely told them no dice. They responded with a link of an identically heinous piece that another seller was calling authentic. My mistake! I guess two wrongs DO make a right after all.

Teak dining chair | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | JohnQ | Identification
Has anyone seen this design before? It’s similar to a couple other chairs I have. Note the joinery on the back. Looks like decent quality, but no stamps or marks. I pulled the upholstery off of it, hoping there might be some clues, but no dice.
RE: Really dissatisfied with new Eames Lounge Chair - other owners' experiences appreciated | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | PNW_Dragon | General discussion
I've been to DWR to check out the current batch of Eames Lounges. I must say, I was underwhelmed. They were comfortable enough-not terrific mind you-but okay. One thing I noticed was the way the cushions sat in the shells, they weren't lined up quite right. Also, the piping didn't meet at the edges of the shells properly. For something that was one or two grand this might be okay, but for an easy 6k, it should be really well built. I rolled the dice on a Chinese copy-its awesome. $700 USD and it's comfy, looks good and durable. I've got small kids (and a ...

Chrome based Tulip Tables on the Dick Cavett Show | 2 Relevance | 17 years ago | brbeard | General discussion
I was watching old clips of The dick Cavett Show (the late night ABC incarnation) and I noticed that his set is outfitted with chrome-based (stemmed?) tulip side tables. I'm not a huge fan of the tulip line, however I regularly watch Saarinen auctions on ebay, and I've never come across these. Do you think they were made exclusively for the show? Here's a clip which shows the tables -- skip forward to the 1:50 mark to see them featured prominently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DVt39SO4mg
