| Could be this chair by Rud Thygesen for Magnus Olesen (pic and info from Danish Furniture Index). Second pic is from a seller attributing them to Kai Kristiansen for Olesen. Attachment: MO-chair.jpg Attachment: magnus-olson-dining-chairs-1.jpg | |||||
| Rosewood Veneer Dining Table with Thick Oval Legs | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | mark84 | Identification | |
| Hi everyone, I know this is probably the worst photo but its all I've got for now sorry. I'm trying to identify a rosewood veneered extending dining table (rectangular in shape with curved ends) but with very chunky oval shaped legs. Looks a bit 80s with slotted head screws used. Does this ring any bells for anyone? Thanks a lot Attachment: IMG_2793.jpeg | |||||

| @lexi Yes, I figured a lot of those attributions to JH were incorrect. This auction listing is a marked example. This one, and several others, attribute these to Ib Kofod-Larsen. https://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/58224869_faarup-refractory-style-dining-table-banded-dan | |||||

| Good news, bad news. First the bad news: It is not a Mogensen design. Now the good news: although the photos are lo-res, it looks to be a solid teak top table by Hvidt and Molgaard-Nielsen for Soborg. Soborg did use that dual wing nut leg connection for both Mogensen and Hvidt/Molgaard-Nielsen tables back then, so nice eye for that observation. The good news outweighs the bad news by far in my book. That is a very elegant table that you just bought. Both of the dining tables in my house are solid teak: an expanding JH-567 by Hans Wegner in the dining room, ... | |||||

| Here is a page from the 1958 Soborg catalog. The table I am thinking of is model 311. The oval top is 45" x 49", with the leaf being 23". Here is a listing of another example of that table: https://www.pamono.com/dining-table-by-peter-hvidt-for-soborg-in-teak-1950s Attachment: Pages-from-Søborg_Møbler-1958.jpg | |||||
| French dining chairs - help | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | Snowdog | Identification | |
| Hi I was staying at friend’s place in France and his parents had some awesome dining chairs. They said they came from a flea market in Paris. They said there were plenty of them which made me think they could be cafe or school chairs. But I haven’t been able to find anything similar online. Can anyone help? Photo attached; thanks! | ID help needed please - Unusual dining table and chairs, probably Danish. Designer and/or manufacturer ideas please? | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | Mancunian | Identification | |
| ... 4ft/1.2m wide, but splits in half to take 2 solid extensions. The metal rails for that split are stamped Rosengaarden, although table is not necessarily by him ...and I cannot see any Rosengaarden tables like this one. There is a similar G Plan table but I'm guessing that theirs wouldn't have Danish extenders? Top of leg detail isn't like anything else I can see (I've been looking for weeks now). The dining chairs are also a puzzle: they may be same designer but are unmarked. They have pegged sides like an Erik Buch design, but there the similarity ends. Un ... | |||||

| Dining Set wIth Date Stamp? | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | Interluner | Identification | |
| I just bought this table and 6 chairs from craigslist. The seller said He thinks his in-laws bought it in Raleigh NC 50 years ago. There were paper labels inside some of the chairs. Most were too disintegrated to show anything except on two of the chairs where the ink had bled into the wood and both were marked 23 030140. 030140 sounds like a date to me but doesn’t line up with the sellers story. Any thoughts on the origins are welcome | |||||
