| Broyhill dining set -- not quite brasilia | 2 Relevance | 14 years ago | NULL NULL | General discussion | |
| Picked up this dining set and wondered if anyone has come across it before. The chairs have Broyhill tags on them; no ID on the table but has the exact same finish treatment so it seems to be a set. The upholstery on the chairs is new. Is this a proto-brazilia model, or something else altogether? Thanks in advance- | |||||
| Help Identify Dining Room Table from 1900's | 2 Relevance | 14 years ago | Mazz_in_Texas | General discussion | |
| I bought this dining room table in the U.S. from an Australian lady who moved it from Australia. She appeared to be in her 50's and received this as a hand-me-down from her grandfather years before. My assumption is it was built in Australia or England in the first half of the 1950's. Any help identifying the manufacturer and model is most appreciated. http://s630.photobucket.com/albums/uu22/kmazziotta/Dining%20Room%20Table/ | |||||
| Favorite Mid Century Wood Dining Chair? | 2 Relevance | 14 years ago | cdsilva | General discussion | |
| One of the things that first attracted me to Danish Modern furniture a couple of years ago was that some of my favorite designs just happened to be some of the more affordable pieces (if only cars worked the same way). In particular, dining chairs seemed to fall in this category. A set of eight Erik Buck OD 49/50 chairs, made by Oddense Maskinsnedkeri, was one of my earliest purchases. These chairs are fairly common (as Danish Modern pieces go) in the US, and I was able to get them (pre-shipping and pre-reupholstered) for under $100 apiece. After having thes ... | |||||
| Drexel projection dining set | 2 Relevance | 14 years ago | NULL NULL | General discussion | |
| Hi, I recently purchased a Drexel Projection dining set made in 1959. Although there is plenty of information on Drexel's other lines from this period, I can't find much information about Projection. Does anyone have any info on this line (i.e. designer, wood type, etc.)? This is a link with a picture of the table and chairs (although I only have 4 chairs and am looking for 4 more). Thanks! | |||||

| I have just purchased a set of four dining chairs made from either afrormosia or rosewood. I love them and am going to get them reupholstered. I would be interested to know who they were designed/made by. I get the feeling that they are Danish. I am based in the UK. They are identical to the chair in the photo. Many thanks. | |||||

| Ostervig Dining Chairs - Carroll Sagar and Associates? | 2 Relevance | 14 years ago | sloanie | General discussion | |
| I just found these awesome Kurt Ostervig dining chairs. As I was working on re-upholstering the seats I pulled off the dust covers and found these great stickers from the store where they were originally purchased in Los Angeles. I knew the chairs were purchased in LA since I bought them from the daughter of the couple who originally bought them. But I thought this was a great little piece of provenance! Does anyone know anything about Carroll Sagar and Associates? | |||||
| Knoll Saarinen Dining Table and Chairs | 2 Relevance | 14 years ago | dnroach | General discussion | |
| I found a Knoll dining table, 4 chairs and an end table at an estate sale. The condition is pretty good. They are ridiculously heavy also. My question is, how can you tell the value of these? I know they are old, but how old? There are so many of these made in different years I don't know where to start. Thanks! | |||||

| Help ID Teak Danish Looking Dining Set | 2 Relevance | 14 years ago | OMM | Identification | |
| I've been searching for a small dining set for an in-law and came across a listing for this set of four chairs and table. The build look very familiar but I'm having some trouble bringing a name to mind. Anyone have any insight as to who this might be? It's a bit of a drive to take a look at it, but I might be able to motivate her more if I can tell her it's attributed to someone or someplace in particular. Any help? | |||||
