The 9th Designbörse Berlin 2019
Designers, vintage galleries and collectors from all over Germany and Europe are coming to Berlin from 15-17 November 2019 to show their best pieces and new acquisitions in the city centre. With over 60 exhibitors and 4500 visitors, design.Boerse_Berlin is a permanent annual event in the European vintage scene.
There is a fantastic atmosphere in the Loewe Hall, exhibitors and visitors alike agree and are looking forward to the upcoming 9th edition in the 2000 square meter Loewe Hall on the 2nd floor of the classic brick industrial building from 1896, located near the center in Berlin Moabit. Formerly a machine hall, today an event location with modern event technology, it offers an appealing setting for the presentation and sale of unique and authentic pieces.
The main focus will be on design classics from the last 120 years in the fields of furniture, lamps, interior design, ceramics, glass, technology and jewellery. Many of the style and design icons on display, designed by such renowned artists as Arne Jacobsen, Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Begge, Egon Eiermann, Eillen Gray, Mies van der Rohe and Wilhelm Wagenfeld, are offered in rare originals by 60 international vintage gallery owners and private collectors. The demands on the quality of the exhibited objects are high.
The design.Börse_Berlin stands for exclusivity and diversity. It shows well-known masterpieces from Art Deco and Bauhaus to the Midcentury, roughes Industrie & GDR Design of the last century and designs of the recent present, as well as experimental and anonymous works. In Berlin, the city of creativity and design, the presentation of selected young works is a must.
Not only design lovers, gallery owners or museum buyers will find inspiration to complete their collections. In addition to selected rarities, affordable pieces for a wide variety of purposes and interiors will also encourage buyers to purchase.
It’s worth coming at the beginning, because the originals offered are unique pieces. What is gone, is gone. At Fridays open preview, just during the setup, the rare beauties can already be inspected and bought.
Special: On Saturday from 3-6 pm the auction house Quittenbaum from Munich is available for a free expert appraisal of special pieces. Last year they won the Siegessäule, the auction house Dannenberg, designaddict and the designreport.
