U-453 Sideboard by Jiri Jiroutek for Interier Praha

The U-453 sideboard with black, pink and white formica drawers, was designed by legendary Czech furniture designer Jiri Jiroutek. It was part of the popular U collection manufactured by Interier Praha in the 1960s Czechoslovakia.

This piece perfectly embodies the elegance of the so-called Brussels Style, named after Expo 1958 in Brussels where Czechoslovakia won 13 prizes including one in the furniture category.

The sideboard is in great original condition. There is some minor wear and tear on the wooden surface and on the formica drawers and patina on the wooden top part acquired over the years.
