This creative and unique vintage carpet from Chiadma, a territory located in the South of Morocco, has a texture and palette that is soft yet bold, and a loosely woven fine low pile. Soft reds, pinks, gentle tangerines and spring greens are combined with huge skill to create a simply beautiful carpet, with a lightness of touch. It has wear, loose edges, and restoration and some puckering, all of which give it a beautiful original patina. Woven in silky pure hand spun wool on a strong goats wool base, it dates from about the 1960s. The fringes may have been added at a later date Size : 3.70m plus fringes by 1.65m
