Unknown engineer, Edouard-Wilfrid BUQUET filed on February 9, 1927 a patent lamp pendulum at the Ministry of Commerce of Paris. Revolutionary, this one has 5 points of articulation offering a sweep of the light in 360 °, in the 3 dimensions.

Equipped with a double “floating” arm, the lamp developed by BUQUET finds its balance thanks to an ingenious system of counterweights adjustable in depth. The weighted wooden base ensures the stability necessary for its handling. The double pendulum lamp of Edouard-Wilfrid BUQUET is today considered a marker of the development of modern thought in France in the early twentieth century.
