Schmitt Éric
Éric Schmitt is one of the most prolific French designers of his generation. He begins by realizing his own creations, with a baroque or primitive style. His first choice for the material was wrought iron, which he does not hesitate to associate unexpectedly, for example with rusty metal. The first gallery which exposed his design was En Attendant les Barbares. Then his international career began, under the auspices of Christian Liaigre, renowned decorator, who called on him for numerous projects, the development of the Montalembert hotel in Paris. Many solo exhibitions followed one another in New York, Los Angeles, Stuttgart, London… His talent is particular for combining art and contemporary design.
