Try https://www.design-restoration-spares.com/ . They're in Germany and they carry a lot of hard to find items for mid-century modern furniture. I don't think they have 45 degree clips BUT you could try emailing them to request that they carry them (or find someone to make them, because you're not the first to ask and you won't be the last). They do have woven elastic webbing if you are ok with that.
I don't have any affiliation with them and have never ordered anything from them because I haven't had the need (yet). I'm just impressed with what they do have.
I don't know that there is a "cheap" source for Evans clips. You can buy them here: http://fagasstraps.com/default.asp
Whether they will ship to Germany, I don't know. (It's pretty easy these days to do international shipping so they should!) If they don't, do you know someone in the US who can order on your behalf and ship to you? Or is it still more money than you want to spend?
It's tough with products that aren't in great demand but that some of us still want and need. Overman chair glides are another one---someone was making them for awhile but they seem to have disappeared.
The elastic webbing should be easier to find since it's used on a lot of new furniture still, including leather upholstered furniture made in Italy, I think.
Hi Olaf,
can only find 90 degree clips in your shop. They look like the ones made by Osborne of which i've got like a box full. The clips i am looking for have a 45 degree angle.
Regarding elastic belt, while browsing your sjop i could not find one that fullfil the requirements I have given.
Thanks anyways.
So i'm still searching, help is very much welcome.
