I hope I'm not being crazy and putting in all this effort for nothing, but I have purchased an early table, that I want to restore to it's former glory.
Based on the sticker it's early, as the name is Knoll Associates, 320 Park Ave. The base is cast iron.
I have had the marble cleaned and polished and it's not bad, a few spots of epoxy on the badly damaged rim.
I still have three issues to tend to:
1. What colour of white and what sheen should the base be painted (once it's sandblasted)?
2. I don't see a rod to attach to the top to the base, only a few badly damaged wood dowels, so how do I get it to attach to the base?
3. the wood veneer on the base is also badly damaged but I think can be salvaged, any recommendations and should I ensure that I keep the badly faded Knoll sticker?
This table was left outside for some time and was advertised as an outdoor table. What a shame that it has sat around all these years
Pictures attached and I will gladly supply more. The last photo (with my Lenny) is after the marble was cleaned and polished.
I know there are experts out there and I know that I've come to the right place. Thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge.

Hi @Kaimaitai - I'd love some advice on how to restore a chip in the epoxy on a tuilip table. We've just discovered a chip in our table which has gone all the way down to the marble! 😭 Any help or tips would be much appreciated.
