My dad has this old PK22 which I just took notice that the frame has this rust or tarnish looks which I’m trying to clean it up and give it back to its glory days. Though it doesn’t feel rough or anything, it just looks like it is rusty. Wondering if any of the expert here can assist on what should I do to get rid of it.

Nice. I believe EKC production was all chromed steel, with a specific brushed matte finish. Any attempt to remove some surface corrosion would alter the finish. Later Fritz Hansen production used stainless steel. Even though it is SS, the alloy they used can experience surface corrosion as well.

You may already know this, but EKC production commands a much higher premium on the resale market than FH. Nice chair to hang onto.

Thanks @cdsilva! You mind contact me at vintagevintan@gmail.com? I’m quite new to this danish design, but would like to seek your inputs and your experience on it. As I got a number of images and docs but due to the file size, quite hard to discuss here. Thought it will be easier through email.
