I'm having an ongoing issue with shock mounts popping off a set of DCMs I purchased new over 20 years ago. I didn't get satisfactory responses from either HM or the authorized retailer I purchased them from when this started happening a little after a year from date of purchase. The mounts came off clean and in good condition otherwise, so I re-glued them into place following recommended protocol using a few different epoxy products. All of the 12 I've re-glued over the years have held securely ...until a couple of days ago when the back of a chair that I had repaired let go.

As I prepared to re-glue the previously re-glued mounts, it occurred to me that they are different from other replacement mounts I've seen in that the backs (primary glue surfaces) of mine are metal and this may be why they are not adhering properly.

Sooo, my question to the forum is: Has anyone ever seen these before or since? Any ideas about an epoxy or other glue that might properly adhere these?

Any and all thoughts are welcome and appreciated.
