I have an Eames 670 Lounge Chair which needs a shockmount replaced. I have been unable to find any info regarding which adhesive would be the best to use.
Has anyone attempted this repair?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Help from Humemodern?
At Humemodern they will sell you the shockmounts but will not give a single bit of advice. The response I received from Alfie was 'Sorry no we cannot recommend any adhesives for warranty reasons.
We can install them for you though for $100 per panel.'

Contact your local Herman...
Contact your local Herman Miller sales office or dealer and ask them to recomend an authorised repair shop. These chairs were designed to be repaired in feild - I wouldn't use or do anything unless recomended by Herman Miller

Herman Miller Canada....
I am located in Canada. I contacted Herman Miller Canada and they told me they would have to send the chair panels to Herman Miller in the U.S.
They gave a quote of approx. $1300 US.
I am surprised that Herman Miller Canada is unable to do even the most minor of repairs.

I know that you are in Canada. Here in Chicago we use THE FURNITURE SHOP for everything. The owners John Gilligan & Mark Roe are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I am sure if you contact them, tell them your situation they will be more than happy to offer you helpful suggestions. Give them a try.
