This bright red desk lamp was designed in the late 1960’s, and was most likely produced by NAPAKO in former Czechoslovakia The lamp has a bright rich red colour on the outside of the metal parts and in contrast to that, it is painted white on the inside of the lampshade. This large lampshade is held by steel ‘V’ shaped rods on each side. This allows the user to adjust the lampshade to different positions. The steel frame is screwed into round base and the on/off switch is located on a cable separate from the lamp. This lamp can be used as a wall lamp but also as a ceiling lamp, or simply as a desk lamp. Despite showing some minor signs of use, it still holds great industrial/design charm and can be a great and practical addition to contemporary interiors.
