I love those big floaters -- like puffy schooners in the sky ?
Grendel, what am I seeing ? The vertical shot appears to be a compressed portion of the other. Nice mountainscape, in any event . . .

Sunset tonight. The mountain on the left is the Cornette du Bise which translates into the local dialect as the Crown of Unique to This Region Grey Stone. And, since this thread has become the Geography and Weather Thread, I thought I'd harken back to our design roots with a piccie of my two Ernst Moeckl Kangaroo chairs all dressed up for winter in their sheep skins.

Hee hee. You have so many fun things in your life, Riki -- spending some time on the Cornette with you would be fun. (Don't worry -- I haven't left California in thirty years and don't plan on travel anytime soon !)

SDR-
No cropping or photo shopping, Mt Shuksan from two angles at Mirror Lake in Washington.
A design teacher of mine now works in a fancy photo lab, when someone brings in this mountain / lake combo they put $1 in a party fund, I think they have good parties.

SDR and everyone, y'all know you have an open invitation to come visit any time. However, since this is the DA Old Timers thread, I understand that some of us are happy to just enjoy each others' spaces via pictures.

Riki,
Should a time arrive that promotes travel outside the legal jurisdiction of the United States I will most certainly take the opportunity to pay you an anonymous visit.
Years ago my sister made the trip and visited the Jaeger LeCoultre factory. Excellent factory records are a blessing when researching a significant watch (a gift from me to her).
She brought me a souvenir of the Swatch 27 avel Chantun limited edition strap watch for the Swiss National Exhibition. I was grateful.

Hi.
I've been spying this ancient looking pirate ship for 2 days now. Sorry about the lousy photo, and I like my shorts today. Plus, how lovely of you Riki.
Best,
Your Aunt Mark
ps. great swatch. I'm addicted to belts. Mostly cloth Lilly Pulitzer, but also anything Gucci and Hermes. But I like to wear the cloth belts mostly. Hi.

Like these kind of belts that I adore. A bit preppy, possibly, but wonderful textiles and stellar workmanship. I'm also addicted to Hermes neck ties. I like cheap vodka. And I like you.
Blazed and stupid,
Aunt Mark

I can envision a garment made entirely of exquisite belts. Doctor, am I a fool ? Please answer soon; my tailor is coming in from Rangoon next Tuesday . . .

Since I'm kinda fucked up... I also have an unhealthy attraction for Hermes mens neck ties. I look at every mans neck tie that I see. Sometimes I spy a vintage Hermes. The quality is spot on. 7 fold. 4 in hand. No mess.
Best,
Aunt Tie
