You looked very scholarly back then, SDR.
Aunt Em, here is the old man. I would have dug around for a bigger snappie, and in fact just the other day I came across one of him snappy-ing someone else with a gigantic camera. He was and still is a very enthusiastic camera buff but without the any of the photography skills that you'd think would go along with such an interest.
But more importantly---what does this do to the value of the Erté!?

Hi spanky!
Well he certainly looks like a decent man (I think). And SDR sure was a handsome teen (I think). Tall, too (I think). Now is it just me, or do these two gentleman resemble one another (despite decades apart in age)? Probably wouldn't have much affect on the value though (I think). Thanks for the snappies!
Best,
Aunt Mark

Pretty sure a snappy of the elderly aunt who willed the painting to kids' gramps would have added value to anything! Especially if accompanied by a family history.
Don't even ask. I've already said too much.

Tried a modification of 2.15.16; the gray checkerboard is reduced from 12 to 10 squares; it starts (like the other checkerboard grids, red-9 and blue-11) from lower left -- but with a positive gray square rather than a negative one, at the corner.
I'm posting here mainly so I can see the two images toggle automatically -- my first "animated" square-dance !

Not that impressive, huh ?
Do me a favor: print out this image as large and dark as you can, view it in dim light (at night, preferably), and let me know if you see anything surprising.

SkwareDance
Apparently, I can't be stopped. Have pity; yesterday I lost my beloved 2009 Downtube Mini bike.
Boo Hoo.

I found a snappy of the only time I wore Andy's shirt. The pattern made me look bloated around the middle. I barely weigh 150 lbs. Sorry about your bike SDR.
Hi,
Aunt Mark
ps that's me in the picture.

As I once told a friend, "Your merest whim is my fondest desire." Want to lose another 25 pounds ?

Spacy . . .
It looks at first like a form I should fill out.

I thought they were perforated lines and was wondering where the tiny scissors icon was.

My "form" does need scissors…
Trying to sum up the illusionistic investigations of both SDR and Mark is not easy.
So I came up blank.
Yes, on my tombstone I want a blank rectangle, moss, and three dots.

Hee hee. I like it. "I came up blank."
I tried to make a dotted checkerboard. It didn't work. No loss . . .
