just curious what you guys sit at? I used to use my Brno but it sucks, for work anyway. I just got an old chair from the state pariament offices, needed a little fixing but its pretty nice for 10 bucks! Springs backwards, woo hoo!
A friend had an Aeron he found in a skip in london, didn'tknow what he had until he'd emigrated!
Mine
I have a Herman Miller Aeron chair, as well as a Mirra chair. I love the Aeron; comfortable and terrific. The Mirra is not as comfortable and I don't like how easy the arms move while sitting in the chair.
I also have a first-issue Equa in black leather with the rare silver base.
McCobb Planner Group Desk
w/ Black upholstered Eames shell chair on swivel contract base, no tilt. I had been using my vintage DCM but after fixing the shock mounts once already I decided to give it a rest. I actually prefer the height and the swivel is nice, although it doesn't really "go" with the planner desk. A local antique shop has the correct chair for this table but it's a little boring for my taste. If fact now that I have the Nelson CSS it would be great to have a Nelson desk but....I don't have $5k lying around so the McCobb stays!
Speaking of desks....
Because there's so few MCM desks that one can find that look good in a home office, I opted for the recently discontinued Paperclip desk from Blu-Dot. The company's here in Minneapolis (although without a showroom, no one here's ever heard of them!)
It's solid as heck and I got the Paperclip CRT floor stand for the computer and a Leda rolling 3-drawer cart for the printer. On the left I have an original Herman Miller Scooter with the beige plastic top and I use it as a small side table on the left of the desk!
And a cool mousepad!
