Thanks,
Robert. Ion's what we were looking at, let us know how it goes, quality of conversion-wise. We, too, have a very good old Techniques turn-table that still produces great sound. So we want to do precisely what you are doing.
SDR, yeah, there are still new decks out there. The Hip-Hop and Rap style still use them and so do DJ's. But I'd say if you can get your hands on a good quality vintage that you'd be in fine shape as well. Techniques is a very good middle of the road brand, ours is still a very good performer at 25+ yrs of age!

I want the same for my vinyl! So, yes, do tell us how it goes!

"Robin & Lucienne Day by Lesley Jackson- long overdue, and was delighted to find my armchairs in there"
Which ones do you have? I am painfully in love with the Day's work - but I'm in the US.
"and also pleased to see an acknowledgement for me in there too!"
Were you acknowledged for a particular glass piece? Do show and tell!
I
don't have a scanner here.. but these are these chairs, they are in one fo the Hille furniture brochures in the book..without the back cushions- which I knew were later additions
(the original purchasers were short, and added back cushions to both the chairs and the sofa, which is marked Hille, but I didn't know the armchairs were)
Re: the glass book, I sold and lent stuff to the author, as well as did a couple of TV things alongside him

"have you got to look at the set yet? i was thinking about buying them."
I have been going through them s-l-o-w-l-y starting from the first issue and really enjoying them. The list price is very high, but if you can find a set on sale I say go for it. Like much of Taschen's product it's very nicely done.
