Knock off Time Life
If you have never seem them it's probably because you have not looked for them. I just did a quick search and they are out there. I will not give the website a plug but they are not hard to find.

I meant something with some age and close enough in build quality to possibly hoodwink somebody with knowledge

Well here's the picture.
It's from an advert. I can't make out the quality or pedigree of the chair, does anyone have a trained eye for this one?
I don't want to alarm the seller with all sorts of questions as I really want this one for my desk.

I see a new one goes for around 3500$
Am I correct? This seems excessive..
Vintage ones seem, pricewise, all over the place.
