we kicked this around before, but I still think the board would benefit from:
- An ID specific thread, much like "the last thing you acquired" Something like "Help a Fellow DA'r With an ID". Boy would it neaten things up.
- I think it would be good to have a "Buy/Sell/Trade" thread, allowing interested parties to go somewhere semi-private to work something out. I need a 6th dining chair, anyone have any more of this service, I just bought 50 Eames shells, etc. etc.
Other suggestions welcome. I am just a pup on DA so I am fully prepared to be put in my place.

I agree waffle, an ID thread...
I agree waffle, an ID thread and a Trade/Swop Shop type thread could be good. Anyone else?

Threads get
lost easily when not addressed every day. And what directs a new poster to the appropriate thread -- when the easiest thing to do is start a new one ?
Perhaps we're looking for a "column" or department -- in other words, a new heading on the bar above ?
How many new posters take the time to read the forum rules ?
Just thinking out loud . . .

SDR wins!
Another issue is that ID requests and responses are more useful when they're in individual threads. It's easy to see whether an item is still unidentified, and there's never any confusion as to WHICH item has just been identified when an ID is eventually posted.
Even if we had a separate subforum with individual ID-request threads, what problem would that solve, exactly? Most people use meaningful thread titles anyway, so anybody who wants to ignore ID threads can ALREADY avoid 90%+ of them by simply choosing not to click on thread titles that are obvious ID requests.
