I thought I'd share this, its an interesting process. It requires a special 'superplastic' aluminium alloy. Ron Arad + Marc Newson seems to be the only big name furniture designers who have used the process but it looks pretty amazing to me, could be more widely used. Its been taken up in aerospace and luxury vehicles, Aston Martin fisrt used it in the 70's and seems superior to conentional body panel forming.

I'll be trying it out at home in the morning. Will post pictures of my injuries should they prove attractive.

Seems a brilliant way to form a boat hull without welds or rivets...
It might be ideal for making 14' to 16' skiffs. Thanks for the post.
