Small space
For me, one of the advantages of living in a small space (1,100 square foot rowhouse) is that it has not been difficult filling it up with things I love/enjoy. I have absolutely no more space for furniture, although eventually I will want a new coffee table, but that can wait. Oh, and I want two flatscreen tvs - one for the living room and one for the bedroom - but those, too, can wait.
My latest passion (some may call it an addiction) is cooking, and I love the new cuisenart 11-cup food processor I got as a gift this xmas! I also bought myself a large griddle pan and some Michael Graves kitchen tools from Target with a gift card that I had received. (Personally, I'm not a big fan of the way many of his items look, but I find them well designed and extremely comfortable to use, e.g., his can opener.)
That's pretty much it, unless you count the 10-plus additional lbs I've gained around my belly over the past week as a result of one too many xmas cookies, candy canes, cakes, etc. etc. etc.
Christmas cash and Panton S Chair
Hello,
I'm a newbie here and want to say 'hello.' I've loved the retro styling of this chair for sooo long. It fits in well with my Artemide classic modern lighting and my Ikea white furniture (skimp where you must, staying functional) and splurge where you can.

Bet the cakes where wonderful and worth it!
How do you like the Michael Graves' utensils? I discovered him early on at Target.
For cutting, slicing and dicing, do you like the Japanese knives? I'm a fan of Global. But, of course, sometimes you need a good, heavy German steel knife.
Enjoy your food processor.

In addition to the Berenice...
In addition to the Berenice Lamp from my wife I mentioned above, I also bought us a set of CulinArt steak knives that also came with a cool steel case that looks like something James Bond would keep his gun is.

Nice-looking handles on those knives, Chris
Are they nicely balanced and feel good in the hand? Nice find.
For the Japanese Global knives and for the chores for which they are intended, you have to decide if you like the lack of heft in the knife (heel for the help in chopping, etc.)
Those are really nice knives that you have, hope they slide through the steak like butta!
