Probably not France and Søn
I've seen two tongue and groove profiles on solid teak Minerva tables by France and Søn (Hvidt & Molgaard), and that isn't either of them. And every photo of their work shows the same profile(s) so it probably isn't France and Søn.
The profile on yours is not one I've seen before, so if some one recognizes it you might have the clue you need to track down a solid ID. And there really aren't an incredible number of makers who used solid teak table tops.
We might be at this a while
Jesgord: My hope for the OP would be that someone recognizes the table outright, or a least recognizes the profile of that joint.
But you bring up a decent question: how many makers can you think of who made solid teak table tops? I can only think of 5 right now off the top of my head:
France and Son
Soborg
Mikael Laursen
Baker
Johannes Aasbjerg (jesgord: thanks again for confirming this one)
I am sure you can add a few to the list, but are there enough to make the idea of elimination absurd?
Oh, and well done eliminating Nelson for Arbuck. I actually was laughing out loud at that.
Billige knald
Hey foxxy, I think you should start a Billige Knald Mobler thread on this forum.
I would love, one day, to walk into an antique mall, visit the mid century booth, and see a piece of furniture proudly identified as Billige Knald Mobler by Børge Rosenbaum. With a justiably large price tag. It would make my day.
