picked this up today but am having a hard time identifying, because of the arms. can't find anything...would appreciate any leads. scandinavian? american? no mark but there is an IBM sticker on the bottom - may have come out of their 1950s/60s building in Toronto? thanks in advance!

Fredrik Kayser
I think I've seen this chair attributed to Fredrik Kayser, but not sure.
Beautiful chair regardless!

thank you!
brilliant ID! you're 100% correct. it's the 711 chair. once you set me in the right direction, I found the exact chair 🙂 It's all there, although, whatever was originally used to attached the leather seat to the frame, has now been replaced with, of all things, wax candles!! When I turned the chair upside down, the two pieces separated. I managed to put them back together. I'll likely have the leather stitched up (open in two small spots) and figure out a proper way to attach the seat again. thank you so much. Helpful bunch, you!

i like it too!
thanks, waffle 🙂 the chair frame is solid rosewood and is heavy. the arms are much duller than the rest of the chair - any reco on what I can do to spruce up the condition of the wood without ruining the beautiful overall wear?
