Hi,
I came into possession of this coffeetable, made out of teak.
Judging by style and quality of wood, I could identify it as being made by Wébé, a dutch company of wich I already have several designs. The mark underneath closed identification.
All wébé-products from this era, executed in teak, have the same color or character: a very reddish, equal pigmentation.
This is visible in the legs of the table.
The tabletop has lost it's color and the wood has dried out.
The top seems veneered but hasn't been damaged other than this fading.
My question is, can I recolor this myself?
I would like some expertise as to what are the appropriate steps for doing so.
(clensing, recoloring, oil..)
Thanks in advance.
