Still proud, just not liking some of the people who live in it, or their views. US.

Well, you are right
in tune, because over here they think he is a serious rock star. It is so weird seeing Obama on every cover of every book and magazine in every language at every news stand, whatever country I'm in. At least at home, you get an occasional Britney or JLo or the Jolie-Pitt entourage. Over here, it's all Obama all the time! There was a huge uproar during the G-20 summit when Michelle dared to touch the Queen's back in an affectionate hug (which hadn't been tried since the 70's because you never, ever touch the Queen), anyway, they gave her a big pass because she was just showing her human side. Like, the dude in the 70's who tried that was decapitated and displayed on the London Bridge.
Crazy!

What's useful in knowing the country of origin
of DA forum-ers is when someone asks about finding something and someone else can make a suggestion, it's very helpful knowing where the person's from.
If you're in the UK and are looking for access to, say, Eames chair parts, I wouldn't suggest a US source because they might ship to your country and you might be able to find 'em cheaper within your country.
As far being proud of where you are, chances are if you disliked the country, you probably would move to another!
The USA's fine by me.
