Darling,
have you seen ANY afficianados of antiques, here ? [hand on hip, one eyebrow raised]
That looks like a Bugatti, in car terms, to me. Rich, deluxe and elegant. I like the proportions. Hope you can get an accurate appraisal somewhere. Let us know what it's worth. . .

and here I was thinking SDR was one of the few straight men on here 🙂 Did anyone ever see the Seinfeld episode where Elaines armoire was kidnapped?
I didn't think it was antique, is it from Turin by any chance? Not my period really.

Reverence
If you do get it... on a bright sunny day you could take it outside, lay down on top of it, cover yourself with a muslin like sheet... wait a period of time...then sell the sheet on eBay with something like Jesus in the title. Just a notion...

3.000 or less is not a bad price, the "two tone" look bothers me,blond burl veneer fronts?

Heath,
I guess you weren't here for the infamous coming-out of 2005. We went through it, believe me ! I went back in the closet after that. . .
I rather like this piece, though I'm not sure what those central handles signify, and I could probably do without the inlay on the legs. But the form and color are quite fine, I think. Not my style, but impressive nevertheless. . .like a Bentley or, as I said, a Bugatti.

er... the handles look like sperm to me 🙂 Two big 'uns
what is that strange bit of timber that looks like it runs along the back? Is it part of the floor? I can't make it out.

For What Its Worth
Maryann...I'm liking it. The piece has a sense of sensual elegant power to it. I think it would work best in a large room with vaulted ceilings....some waltz playing in the background...drunked wine soaked air...
Heath, I think there's another dresser/sideboard/cabinet behind it.
