I've never been hurt by a picture of a chair before...
but this is the furniture equivalent of Medusa. To wit:
"Medusa was...once very beautiful and lived far in the north where the sun didn't visit. Being very curious, she wanted to see the sun, and asked the Goddess Athena for permission to visit the south. Athena refused to allow her to visit. The medusa got angry and dared to say that Athena hadn't given her permission because she was jealous of her beauty. that was it! Athena was angered and punished her by turning her hair into snakes and cursing her by making her so ugly that who ever looks at her eyes would turn into stone."

I dunno ... Plycraft is cool...
I dunno ... Plycraft is cool enough not to deserve such an unfortunate fabric choice. Poor George Mulhauser ... he never gets cred.
In a local library there are a few sofas and chairs (they seem to be Knoll unfortunately, and I am assuming they are being that they have some diamond chairs in there as well) that have been "updated" with a similar floral fabric. Absolutely sad.
HA!
It isn't that easy. I don't know how they work in your area, but trying to get property from a government institution in my town is like trying to get water from a rock! Unfortunately much of vintage modern classics in my area is owned by these institutions ... waiting for judgements day, when they will be hauled to the dump and bulldozed. I don't know which fate is worse, the floral fabric or the dumpsite.
design chimere ?
Anti design is the counterpart of the good taste. anti-design is so confortable and satisfying the one who do not care a dumb thing about aesthetic etiquette. It is great to know that chimeres exist.
So far, they also have moved to drugs and antoparts (e.g),because chimeres are a serious alternative to brand and design. Not that much of us can afford an AALTO artek new cantilever armchair, that's why chimeric IKEA (another e.g) built its niche," for ever and for everyone" (another chimeric plagiat of the National Trust)...
