Octagonal bent plywood (birch), black painted metal, guessing the top metal section is cast aluminum as a magnet won't stick as it does to the legs...black machine screws hold the plywood on. Partial paper label on bottom reads "ri+ partial o,g,or d" in a hollow lowercase font...also reads "US PAT", so it's made stateside...any thoughts out there? It's sturdy and solid and seems very architectural to me.
