Hi! I am currently working on a kitchen product concept and was wondering what the people think of it?

I am curious in:

  • What is your first impression of the product?
  • How much do you think this lemon squeezer would cost?
  • Might you be interested in such a product?

Looks like counter clutter bound for Goodwill. I prefer to squeeze lemons with my hand, after cutting off the ends and unrolling the fruit.

Form is interesting.  As for function, I'll stick with this.  $12.99 seems about right.

Looks harder to clean than conventional reamers

Looks like there could be juice run-off

Seems like it would be tough to apply enough pressure to extract juice completely

I would not buy this even if it was 50 cents at a yard sale.

I use an old glass reamer.  It's not a sleek, mod design but it works very, very well and will last for decades.

But: looks better than this damn Alessi squeezer. And I bet it works better. I'm in for it if you make sure that the juice ends up inside of the bowl. If it's plastic I'd pay 9,99. If its porcelain I'd say: 30 Euros.

The sideways squeezing motion seems problematic when most squeezers work by squeezing downward but I get it that you are trying to invent a new form for a utilitarian object that probably does not need improvement at all.  Most squeezers operates with just one hand and yours require both.  The curved part of your piece that connects the squeezer to the bowl looks like it will eventually break when constant pressure is applied overtime.
